As Toy said earlier in this thread there are good leaked OS's like .132 so thank goodness for those. But really these two companies need to get their shit together and work out at least a half decent gold code.

I don't know but the way I see it we've finally caught up to vzw as far as leaks. which to me means the leaks might be few and far between. I can't see companies like bell and telus hunting for a new one anytime soon.

I hope I'm wrong here but at least we finally have a few stable choices

Bell, Telus and VZW are all hunting for new OS's but cannot seem to find one that they are happy with. RIM has released versions to these that are much higher than anything we have currently seen. .186 failed, .191 failed and 5.0.xxx has just recently been released to the carriers for internal testing. I do believe we see more leaks before something official drops from VZW at least as there next official OS is most like to be something in the 5.0 range.

My opinion is that RIM doesnt have a good OS for the storm. I think they, in terms of OS's, never took, and still doesn't take, the storm serious enough. They have stated that the OS currently on the storm was developed for a non touch screen phone. And from what has been said, have no intentions of making a OS based on a touch screen format.

Its a real shame that vzw won't release something better than .75. My wife's phone is still .75 and I can't stand using it! I wrote "customer service" an email complaining about the lack of commitment on vzw's part to get updates rolling for the Storm given that there are leaks that are better. I have yet to hear from them (4 days now) but I guess why should they care about a customer that is roped into a long-term contract and has few choices!?!? I agree with bmtenney, if it weren't for BBOS, I would have hauled this Storm to the crusher awhile ago! I'll let you guys know what the response from vzw was.....
