Blackberry Curve 8520 (Gemini) Photos Revealed

    Images courtesy of Crackberry.com

All credit goes to our very own mmanuel552 and Stiefler07 for finding this. The first production photos of RIM's code name Gemini have been revealed. The pictures delineate a couple of interesting changes that RIM is cooking up for this phone. These are:

    Optical trackball
    Dedicated Media buttons
Curve branding and a rubberized finish surrounding the metal battery cover
On the downside the 8520 will NOT HAVE 3G.

Here are some additional photos of the Gemini:

I like that optional trackball... really takes that to the next level... now if they make more models with that and have 3G

Part I like (optical trackball) part I don't (call and BB buttons). I am surprised to see they moved back to the prior form factor than the current Storm and 8900 look.

It kind of looks like a Nokia E71 to me. Anything with no 3G I'm skipping on. We're in the 21st Century RIM no excuse not include that and WiFi in every phone. I don't care what the carriers say it should be mandatory.

I would have to agree. releasing a non 3G phone in todays market is unthinkable. The only market that doesnt have 3G is T-mobile. At least not in the Cleveland area anyways.
