Thank you for the article. I was surprised the 8830 and 8330 lasted as long as it did

Truthfully I was hoping the rumor of dropping the storm line was true. I bhave 9 lines on T-Mo in which i get incredible rates I but I was hoping T-mo USA could pick it like Euorope although do love my 8900!

It would make perfect sense to drop a device that has been "upgraded" to another level. Such is the case with the storm 1. Why would Big Red keep that on the shelf if there was a "better" model to have customers trade up to? This way, if your device breaks before the contract is up, you'll have to sign up for another two years, it makes perfect business sense, even if it makes no sense to real people.
As for the pearl flip, wow! I'm surprised it made it this long.... (MHO, of course...)

While we all know the 8330 was being discontinued, I am a little surprised the 9530 was, although like TM said it was only a matter of time. besides, why would you want to buy a 9530 if you could get a 9550. Hey TM, there is Kenny's proof. You know what i am referring to?

It still have the 8330, its been a great BB! I never did try for a curve improvement, let alone a storm. Have older version drop off just makes sense.

Storm 2 with 256 MB in application memory does perform better than Storm 1 with 128 MB in application memory. However, I still prefer the classic bottom (four separate) buttons of Storm 1 to the integrated and combined bottom buttons of Storm 2.
