This would be really nice if it was available for the 9000. We haven't even seen an official release of 5.0 from my carrier (AT&T) and that browser improvement, so hoping for 5.2 is a long stretch IMO

Dont worry the two carriers here in Trinidad (Digicel & BMobile) are still running 4.6 and 4.7 for all phones.
the only way to update is via fantastic sites like this one.

With the how to do it videos and talk throughs its easy.
    Even i did it lol

As for the new browser, it would be good. There are features of Bolt and Opera i dont like too, anything for a good websperience.

I actually don't really use the native browser on my Blackberry, I haven't for a while.. I'm a major Bolt fan. I don't really use Opera.. Although I know that I have heard that a lot of people prefer it over the native Browser and Bolt.

    Personal preference, im sure.

Another nice addition is tabbed browsing. It is implemented very cleanly into the browser UI...

...IMO this phone outperforms the Droid in all areas except for available apps (BB APP World is still very small). There were no games installed so I couldn't determine how well this phone performed from a gaming standpoint. Maybe on Round 2 I will be more lucky.

Just when I was about ready to give up on RIM, I am pleased to see the huge strides they have made not only from a hardware but also software perspective...

Update: I got a few more minutes with the device today so a few extra things of note.

    1. The version of the ever popular google maps with turn by turn voice navigation was loaded and worked beautifully.
    2. The phone is 4G compatible
    3. Internally the phone is known as S3-i1 however a newer prototype to be finished shortly will be dubbed S3-d5.
    4. RIM is trying to finalize the software and hardware so it can makes it's public debut during WES, April 2010
    5. The phone will be released this year and is being marketed to compete directly against the Android.
    6. The model number for the S3 = 958*
