Engadget review: Ten years of BB

Read the full story here. But be sure to come back and post your impressions in the BlackberryOS Forums.

Wonderful to see the first devices and the development up to now! What's your opinion, what will we see next? Is it a touchscreen storm 3, or a slider, or...?

    RIM rumours

Well, could this be it? The new 97xx Storm 3? Who knows. At least it is part of the RIM patent application, that can be found here. I have no idea, how likely it is, that either RIM gets such claims granted or that we see such a (lovely) device from them (Nokia and their communicator must already be on the barricades) - nevertheless, it's nice to see, that the future always will be ... hm ...surprising?!

I was under the impression from Levy the S3 did not have a slider...other than that I have no clue.

Yep, to the best of my knowledge (which in this case is not much ) the new S3 will be evolution only, but no revolution. So the S3 slider is not very likely to happen, but maybe another series?

I'm with Levy on this. It NEEDS to be innovative. I would hate to see yet another BB device launch 3-6 months from now and still be 12 months behind. Unfortunately, I don't know that will happen.

True, it better should be! With google phone, Droid, and the like, they better come up with something really good! ...although I still like my storm 1

Pretty good story. I wouldn't expect a slider because RIM already got rid of one moving part - the trackball. They probably wont add another. What they need is an OS overhall, so they can be more competitive with other touchscreen handsets.
Running Apps: Tether, QuickLaunch, Addictive Tower Defense, BerryWeather 2.0, BerryBuzz, Druglord Wars, QuickPull, PBA Bowling 2, BuzzOff, eBay, Facebook, BBOS Alert

Fully agreed, what would be your greatest wish for a better OS? Faster browsing? Greater speed? What's the very special, that would make them win?
