Wal-Mart Offering $100 Gift Card To BlackBerry Buyers

In the latest demonstration of the increasing competition smartphone market, Wal-Mart (WMT) this morning announced a one-week promotion on the Research In Motion (RIMM) BlackBerry, offering $100 gift cards to customers who buy one of the company’s phones with any of the four major wireless carriers.
The deal includes these phones:
* AT&T Curve 8310
* AT&T Bold 9000
* Sprint Curve 8330
* T-Mobile 8520
* T-Mobile Pearl 8120
* Verizon Storm
* Verizon Storm II
RIMM today is up $1.13, or 1.8%, to $64.80.
