Thread: What are your thoughts about the Storm 2?

I know the news about the Storm 2 being developed is old news but I really did not get into what I thought about it. I keep coming across these pictures of what the Storm 2 may possibly look like. Well, looking at the picture above, I don't like it. To me, Blackberries should not have a slide out keyboard. It looks like a make up of a G1. It does not even look like a Blackberry at all and I would not purchase it. What are your thoughts on the Storm 2 if this was to release as the image above?

man i hope that pic is a joke or hoax. really bad. i wouldnt carry that thing around.

IDK... I kinda like it. I agree that its not very Blackberry looking, but I think the want for smaller phones and peoples want for touch screen with a full physical keyboard, you are going to see more phones like this. I would at least try it out.

There is no way I would buy a BB that looked like this. This style has been around for ever & it's just old. The thickness on phones like these tend to be too bulky.


BB is better off keeping the same style currently being used by the Storm. Add the new features, make changes & give a new name.

if they want touch screen and a full qwerty keyboard. all they have to do is make something similar to the bold or curve but make the screen touch and remove the trackball.

I like the Storm exactly how it is. I don't know why so many people hate them oh so much. Give me a good enough OS and call it a day. Did i mention I MY STORM!!

Actually thats some rumors for the 99xx series or also the rumored 9900 Pluto

I would have to agree with the guys here. A slide out keyboard just wouldn't have the "blackberry" feel that we've come to know.

As far as the storm 2, granted it looks extremely close to what the orginal storm does, but with some updated features and maybe a improvement on the click screen, i would definately jump on board. I'd just like to see one that had a good memory management system and maybe a little smoother operating system. Also the option to store apps to the Removable media card. Wifi is either way. It won't be a deal breaker.

So far i've had extremely good luck with my storm. The first one was a little bad on the click and the dust, but the 2nd one that i've gotten has been a trooper thus far. With the current V 3.5 that i'm running, it's feeling like a pretty solid phone. Much better than what my pearl was.

So i guess when it boils down to it, I'll probably jump on the storm 2 when it's released, even if i have to pay full retail.
