Is there a way to make bbm messages appear unread or unopened. Also, anyway to it so the person that sends you a bbm not get the "D" for delivered or the "R" for read?

On there end. Want to make it son people on my bbm know i read their message.
if you go to messages but do not click on the new message in the preview field you will be able to see the message or atleast in part depending on the lentgh of it. the other side will not get the "r" until you open the message. however this does not solve your delivery hiding. i believe bbm was desgned to provide these features for the purpose of confirming delivery and recipt in a bussiness enviornment where it is important that you know everything is delivered and read correctly.
not sure if there is a full work around for this but that is the best i have been able to do. when i dont want someone to know when i've read something i just use sms. lol just make up a lie that bbm is having problems. with the way bis has been lately they pretty much have to believe you. haha

If you turn off your connections prior to opening the BBM message, it won't send a read receipt to the sender. This might be a bit annoying if you're constantly doing it, but it seems to work great when you REALLY don't want the sender to know that you've read their message.Quote:

Along the lines of privacy.... I have my 8530 in a leather pouch/holster... when I get a BBM it automatically opens it! THAT SUCKS! Is there a way to stop that? Thanks.
If you take it out immediately after getting a message it does open. If you don't take it out of the holster for a while, then it won't do this.Quote:
