yes you would just go into your sound profile>set ringtones/alerts>Instant Messages>Blackberry Messenger Groups

    Thanks a lot.
If that's the case then I have to turn off BerryBuzz for BBM because it does not distinguish between groups and individual alerts, right?

Never mind, BerryBuzz just came out with v2.1.37 which does exactly that. You can turn groups on or off and leave the other alerts on. Pretty cool

so far BBM 5.0 is running great on my Tour with 5.0.0.230

only thing i noticed (and i see i'm not alone here) is the drain on the battery, today my phone is down to 91% at 12:18, its been off the charger since 8:30am on very light usage. (haven't done anything on my phone except check a few emails)

not a HUGE deal but normally after 3 or 4 hours of light use it's still at 100% (and no there are no applications running in the background)

anyone found any solutions to this? can you turn any extra features off in the new bbm 5.0 to help with battery life or is it the way it is until they patch it?

So has anybody figured out a away to create an Desktop Manager installable format for the BBM 5.0.0.33?

How do you convert the .jad OTA into .alx & .cod files? Anybody know?

Lyricidal made a program called Create-A-JAD that does just that and also ALX for DM. All you need are the COD files to make either the JAD or ALX.

Shouldn't there be an ALX file? I want to load through the app loader as I did with the leaked version

You can copy the COD files over the other BBM cod files in the OS. Should be in this location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\[YOUR OS FOLDER]\Java

How would you look for the COD files of the BBM 5.0.0.33?

SPM.. how did you manage to extract the .cod files? I've been surfing to look for a method to extract the .cod files from .jad but no success so far...

I tried using OTADownloader but that didn't work...

I need .cod files for the BOLD... Can you assist..? Thanks...

Where did you download a 2.1.37? All I have found is 2.1.35. I went to bellshare and to CB appstore.

    Thanks

    Chats not opening.

I'm running OS 5.0.0.328 (Official via VZW) on a Storm 1 9350t and have BBM 5.0.0.33.

Occasionally when I receive a new message in an existing or new chat, BBM won't let me open the chat to view the new message. I'll click on the message; I'll select the message, hit the app button, then choose Open Chat; I try opening up the SMS/MMS app to see if it just got misdirected all to no avail. The preview shows in the BBM dashboard. A batt pull will allow me to open the chat, but this is very annoying. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know of a fix?

I had the same issue from time to time on the storm 1.. never could find a solid fix.. I just kept my open convos to a min.

While visiting family over the weekend I upgraded their bbms to the new 5.0. Seems to be working fine except on my sisters pearl? Any idea why? I am thinking it's her OS.
