    Are there any filters on in your menu? Try to turn all the filters off and you should see them.

    i think i will be the first one to say, i have just downgraded back to trusty 4.7 again!

    uncaught exception errors and not being able to open messages inbox, not cool. sorry, better luck next time for me.

    Just an FYI....when selecting emails to choose from for back up....make sure you select all of them to ensure that all of your contacts are found.

    Still hate it and I think it's worse the 5.0.0.8... It responds a low slower! still no way to disable buddy icons if you don't want them, or want them smaller (1 line instead of 2)! Quite frustrated with it and very disappointed with RIM.

    Well i realized something. Not sure if you need 5.0 os or just need bbm5. But i believe if you have a bbm contact and its linked in your phonebook, if they send you a text message it shows up in the bbm app. try it out let me know

    the chat icon is there for all your messaging needs. Doesn't mater if its a bbm contact or not. Confusing at first.

    When you restore, go into bbm, options, restore and just find the back up file. . Also since new bbm is integrated with emails, it may wirelessly restore for you as well.

    It may not be your primary email...

    mine was backed up with the email that I never ever use....

    Make sure you try all of them...

    now the real question...

    This confused the hell out of me...

    Make sure you back up your contacts properly and do a batt pull..

    took 3 batt pulls for mine to get everything up and running like usual...

    I still have an icon that says 2 unread sms messages....even after doing a search for unread msgs..

    but i am having so much fun with all the new bbm features that I really dont care!!!

    When I try to remote backup I get a message telling me to try later.
    "You are currently being registered with the blackberryMessenger service. This is automatic process that will complete in a few minutes"

    I have done 3 battery pulls and it's been over an hour since installed and still no go.
    Anyone seen this? figured i would ask before I delete and reinstall

    I would say to just be patient. I have had this happen to me before and I waited patiently. Since you have done the battery pulls let the BBM service do it's job. If, by morning it is still not finished try one more battery pull and then reload. Right now it is like watching the kettle boil.
