BBM 5.0 launching October 7th?

Seems to be two different options now for sms and/or bbm....i just sent my wife a sms and then a text from with bbm.

she does.. but she has two phones 1 work/1 other.. was texting to the none BB... would be a cool feature if it pulls all your SMS convo's into that.. would be much easier to manage...

Absolutely. I think it does - It has the phone icon next to the contact name instead of the BB symbol,which leads me to believe you have an option to send either from this application...hmmm

What's the trick to get App World to connect on v5.0.0.230 on Curve 8330?

seems like they're doing something similar to the Palm Pre maybe? keeping conversations grouped by contact instead of by application (BBM, SMS..etc)

i'm installing it now, waiting for my tour to reboot

if all goes well then 5.0.0.230 will feel more complete :)


edit: installed and working! seems to be running ok on my Tour with os 5.0.0.230

so does this mean the official 5.0 os is due out soon?

Why am I not getting a download option from App World? Only says Screenshot, review, and recommend. Also a Contact support at bottom of screen

Make sure you have the newest version 1.1.0.19 and it shouldn't be a problem.

The OTA will help users that live outside the US like in my case bb app world was a no go until i updated to bis 2.8 now i can get it to work or at least i think that is the reason i got it to work .

Just downloaded latest version and get the treaded "...having trouble connecting to the BB App World server."

Permissions set to Allow, Custom, Allow.

I'll try reboot, but other suggestions.

Try setting all to ALLOW.

Cannot install app world on my 9500 5.0.0.238

Mines all bad.....BBM 4.7 is gona. (it can be gotten easily) and app world locked up so i had to delete that. Anyone have OTA yet?
