Just got the update message on my Storm but the update says it is for 4.0 and 4.1...

Does it seem that only devices which are running leaked OS's are getting this? I am gettting this message, but 5 others that I know that are on official OS's haven't seen this yet.

IMHO, I think they are the ones that should be getting the update prompt

Am I correct in assuming that by installing a hybrid, we can get all the features that we like with the 5.0.0.x OS, PLUS BBM 5?

Yes and No... If you want to get BBM5, then you would need a hybrid that uses a radio from 5.0.0.140 or older OS....and with those older OS you lose threaded sms, and partially flick scrolling (it works in most places, but not messages or sms). So, I guess to answer your question...is there is no such hybrid that would totally incorporate all those things. I would encourage checking them out, and then deciding what you are willing to sacrifice and what you would like to gain.

hmmmm...so for someone that does not have a Storm, and never uses SMS, what hybrid would you recommend?

The only thing that I really LOVE about the 5.0 OS is the reduced boot time and boot screen....am I missing anything really cool?

If not, bring on the hybrid!!! Never loaded one though....is it much different than loading the leaked OS's?

GPS functionality on Telus is MUCH better with 5.0 also

I have tried the version for 5.1/storm2 and it has not worked. Hopefully we will get that leak soon.

It started out at cb and news flies fast but that email is a little dated. All my sources confirmed this to not be likely...but time will tell. Currently bbm5 has like 200 known recorded bugs.
