Thread: BBM 5.0 for 5.0 OS link. Has anyone had luck with this?

Has anyone used this? It specifically states it's for the 5.0 software. They even have a link for the 5.1 OS on the Storm 2.

that version of BBM 5.0 is not compatible with .191... will have to use 4.7

Good call Jnepsa sadly enough 5.0 does not work, but hopefully we'll get that .19 leak soon...if it is out there.

Prince I posted a reply to this same issue you had in another thread have you tried those steps yet?

Some at CB are jumping at a guess of within 24 hrs for BBM .19, let's hope so.

Hopefully you are correct, we've been waiting for what seems a long time for this one.

Interesting thing with BBM recent builds and os .191..... Not that it does not work or that it is not in apps or 3rd prty or dwnld file but, it's nowhere at all. Not in svc bks, not even locatable with BB in disk mode. DM states it installs fine yet when I hooked the thing up to my pc and went through it as deeply as I could.... it's just nowhere in my BB at all. I even ran a few Brute Force Uninstallers and deep cleaning progs to see if it could be found and there is no trace of it anywhere.

yea CX stated it would. And actually that is just for the 191 up OS...the current BBM 5 works with 5.0.0.140

I don't care what any other person says. BBM5.0 will NOT work any 5.0 191 or higher. They removed the messenger COD so only 4.7 BBM will work. They are testing BBM 5.0.0.19 but it has been buggy and not working well with the newer 5.0 OS's they are testing.
This comes from some one who I trust 100% and has never given me bad information.

That is the same thing I have heard as well. Buggy or not, it would still be nice to get back to BBM5 on these higher 5.0 builds

Perhaps this is the reason why it has not leaked yet.

There are also 4.7 BBM OTA's out there on a few sites... google is your friend for those

As far as bbm, I really doubt it will leak as RIM has been after every leak. It would be nice though.

I would just like to point out that the bbm has to be ran through the DM in order to get it to work. The OTA's won't work with .191! On lower builds the OTA's work fine.
