Sorry Rooster I have been sworn to secrecy on this. All I can say is an official release is no where close. Is it going to leak, hmm, my guess is no. And if it does leak, it will only be in the hands of a few very trustworthy people who would not put into the public domain.

Its not like its as important as a leaked OS. Why such the hush hush attitude about this? Its the only thing really missing from the latest 5.0 leaks. It would really go well with .230 for the 9530 users out there.

While I completely agree with your summation paulwright, I have heard that this version of BBM 5.0 is awful. I for one can wait.

Actually in some respects it's worse than a leaked OS. If released this would be a significant strain on RIM's server. With a leak it doesn't effect RIM, only the fact that someone broke their NDA. Furthermore, BBM 5 is far from being ready to be released. Even if it was leaked, you would happily run back to BBM 4.7

because the problems the first leak caused with their severs... i would guess they arent ready for that type of bandwidth,,,, thats my guess.

you would think they are getting there servers ready for this to be released. I wouldnt think they would wait until just before release to make sure there servers could handle the data. And Im sure there also thinking this will get leaked before its official.
