cats, i know exactly what you mean. i dont know how and he didnt give any details so... we are left to wonder what is what at this point. considering the vendor name... is this actually legit? :dunno:

that's what i was thinking. sorry i'm slow but this is the first time i have heard of the guy...but he could have made a bogus program,named it whatever he wanted to and took a screenie...he could have even put RIM as the vendor too...so who knows,but the screenie is definately not proof in my book.

If it's the dude I think it is, and I think it is, he started out as a CB member a few months after the Storm launch. Mostly offered wallpapers for folks then moved on to brandishing batt covers with personal designs. Now it seems that he has moved into offering tech support for mobile phones. Huge jump if you ask me and super unlikely that he has jack.

Just my cents... I'm open to the possibility that I'm wrong but that pic aint doing it for me right now. The fact that OmieTech is in the vendor name makes me think more that it's fake! There is no way he can rebuild the app to rewrite his name as the vendor instead of RIM.

Anything that Omie says, needs to be taken with a grain of salt. He has been caught doctoring pics in the past, regarding cell phone info.

A JAD file is a plain text file that just has very simple instructions as to what the application is, the version, a company name, etc. You can make a JAD file say anything you wanted to since it's plain text. Previous applications leaked by Omie have had 0mietech as the vendor. But like I said, you can make it say anything you wanted to so it to me isn't proof he has it.

Ya. Also, every BBM I have installed OTA, has "Blackberry Messenger" written out, none of them ever said BBM5 or BBB4.7. I don't think its legit.

Word. I've actually interacted with 0mie, virtually of course, and he's nice fella so def. nothing personal.

Anyway, I really dont think BBM for 191 is gonna drop. Boo! Prolly looking at another 5.0 something OS leak before we get any BBM joy!

BBM 5 was so pretty, buggy and all and super annoying at times, but going back to 4.7 just blows!

Gotcha! In fact this is even an easier way then to bs yes? I take any jad file and change the text to say what I want it to say, yes?
