Everything works great now. Turns out I was downloading the incorrect file for the Tour, since I guess there's a new version? I'll have to do more research.

Oh, and this is my first BB ever, still learning, but I don't think I'll ever have anything else now.

hi guys, i down loaded the newest version on my cell and when i go to add a barcode, it will not accept it??? what am i doing wrong

How are you trying to scan it? Are you opening up BBM then going to add a contact and choosing scan?

ok so i have searced all over the net trying to find a solution to my issue so ill try here as well...im not a total nub when it comes to the BB so here is my issue i have a verizon BB curve 8330 runnin OS 4.5.138 (which should support BBM 5.0) i have tried multiple OTA dl's as well as mulitple DM downloads and keep getting the same error, which are: For the OTA i get download fail 907 invalid COD. when i do the DM install i get incompatible version. I have used the correct verison of the dl and when doing the DM i made sure to put the .jad file in with the correct COD files.

So before i change OS to 4.5.168 form alltel anyone wanna chime in and let me know if im doing something wrong....

Other bb sites I'm on as well as friends that have installed bbm 5 on other bb devices other then the curve oops repost from phone my fault let me try that link

do one more thing.. go options>advanced>applications>if there is just one bbm there delete it if there are 2 find the one that says 4.5 and delete it and leave the 5.0

theres only one BBM its 4.5 and trying to DL from the link gave me the same fail

open your browser>bbkey>options> and what is your browser set to, if its not set to Blackberry change it to that and try again

and delete the 4.5 as long as you have a recent backup of your phone..
