I am starting to suspect that it may be a possibility that an app you installed previously has been causing your Torch 9800 this issue of "reboot loop".

(I'm nearly ready to give up and upgrade to an OS7 phone, another torch or the bold. I had to send this phone away earlier this summer for a similar problem and it took them 8 weeks to turn around. )
Can you connect with USB while battery is out of device?
