Thread: Twitter for BlackBerry 2.0 Hotfix Now Available In BlackBerry Beta Zone

Word just got in that Twitter for BlackBerry has been updated in the BlackBerry Beta Zone. This update has been named Hotfix as it implements a lot of old features from older Twitter versions but doesn't change the actual app a whole (still version 2.0).

What's new

• The Compose Tweet bar in the main navigation screen is back.
• You can also choose to expand or hide the Compose Tweet bar according to your preferences by going to the Options menu in the app.
• A new color layout has made now featuring a baby blue color for all those that disliked the chrome look.
• The navigation bar has also been modified slightly to include a My Profile icon with your current Twitter Profile picture.
• Local trends now supported (not just worldwide)
• Improved performance under the hood.

The new app update as a whole feels a lot more solid and responsive. Tweets load up faster and so far no annoying server errors. Again this upgrade is only available in the BlackBerry Beta Zone and requires a PIN specific keycode so if you would like to try it you must join the BZ. whats with the little avatar guy? Is that quick access to your own profile? Im glad they pulled the compose tweet off the top right, It was more convenient as a bar or just easily accessed from both thumbs. Im gonna go get mine now!

I hope to get it soon OTA as I'm not a Beta zone user

Yes the little guy is for the My Profile page. Also I just noticed and added to the post that u can actually expand the Compose Tweet bar and make it look like the older one did by going to the Options menu in the app...

Thanks for the info, now i cant get to the the download page because of a certificate error??? what ever the heck that is.

they need to enable the wired downloads, it not like they dont know their browsers are slow and sometimes trouble some.

I've downloaded this build and noticed the first bug ! When you click on a picture that is with a tweet , you can see it but if you clicked to zoom, it zooms as if you clicked about 3 times to zoom not one click.
