BlackBerry Messenger 6.0 leaked online!

The faithful day that you've been waiting for is upon us. Mere days after BBM 6.0 was announced at Mobile World Congress 2011, we are now seeing the first leak of it online.


Warning #1: Please remember that this IS NOT an official release of BBM. If you wish to install this version keep in mind that this may cause your phone to not function correctly. BlackberryOS and any other BlackberryOS Official sites are not responsible.

Warning #2: Your old version (5.0) of BBM must be unistalled before installing this newer version. This is only compatible with OS 6 devices.

This requires a Key Code from RIM.
I have downloaded and installed it and it looks great BUT it locked up near enough the next time I opened it asking for a key code.

My keycode from BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.2.11 worked :D

OK thanks I am just getting 5.0.2.11 now so will try that.

I got it installed on my 9780 and i was able to send msgs initially then when my device locked and i came back 5 mins later it asked for a keycode

i dont get how you delete the older version of BBM...do you have to use BBSAK?

hey can u send me ur key code? Email it to me wayne.sutter@gmail.com

no go into your application management in device.
You can then delete your apps from your phone.

Also, I just went to the beta zone to download the new update to 5.0.2.11 and it sent my key code through which has worked with V6.

somebody else key code won't work on another bb. key code is based off your pin number

Thats right, your key code is for you but can you not just join the Beta Zone? Or is it not available for you?

true story, but the email for the keycode comes before you actually download the app, so its really not that bad to get one.

how u get the key code?

really don't see anything new runs very smooth i was hoping for new features unless i missed something

I'm guessing this leak and BBM 6 could be to get BBM ready for 3rd party app integration.

I'm finding it to run faster and smoother. Groups load much quicker as well.

Guys plz help .. I can't log to betazone ..my country not yet listed .. And I need the keycode to activate BBM 6
