Thread: Leaked: Blackberry Messenger 5.0.1.46

With yesterday's Bold 9650 leak of OS 6.0.0.466 comes a leaked version of Blackberry Messenger 5.0.1.46.

This update brings bug fixes, but it seems that the famous cursor issue is still present. Hopefully we will see a higher official version soon that solves the cursor issue or maybe even BBM 6.0!

Just downloaded this update. Messages seem faster ie, sending and receiving. I keep you all updated

Yea, been hearing reports that this version is a bit zippier.

I think it is, I get BBM's quicker? It also seems to match the OS I'm using (Beta 6.0 448)
When I send/receive from old faithful to test this its immediate in response. Ill keep you all posted.

Will this work on OS5?

Yes, to the best of my knowledge. I have used previous versions of BBM on OS6, so I can't see why not. If it doesn't, uninstall it and revert back. It may tell you at download if it isn't suitable for OS 5.

Tried it on my OS5 and it doesn't work. Gave a "failed to uncompress" error or something.

Most of the BBM updates now are OS 6 only

Well I think its great that you gave it a try, that's what make Blackberry stand out from the rest. Users that are willing to experiment.
