Thread: Rumored Features For BBM On OS6

If you still think BlackBerry Messenger is only just a way to quickly instant message contacts or group members, you're selling yourself short! With the release of OS 6 and the new OS 6.1 coming to fruition, and if these rumored features aren't really rumors after all, we've got some exciting things to look forward to.

The following is a list of features rumored to be part of the BlackBerry Messenger on OS 6, enjoy:

• The ability to play games and use your BBM user name as your gamer name
• Cross chats between users over BBM (and it looks like you and the other parties playing don’t have to be on each other friends list)
• Also, when we complete tasks on these new games our status will change to show what task we completed (sounds like its similar to the “show what I am listening to tab” and will probably have an option to share with your BBM contacts or hide it from your contacts)
• It also seems like on BBM6, BBM groups will be able to handle more members
• The new BBM6 will be supported on all devices running OS 5+ (at least for now)
• Looks like a mobile game developer company by the name of “Gamemachi” is working on game(s) for this new BBM6 platform.

A lot of these rumored updates would be welcomed by us BBM users as they're updates many users have been waiting and asking for, but as with all rumors, it's not positive if these updates will for sure be happening or if they're simply updates we'd like to see happen.

first of all thanks for information..... and if theywill make this new update i wish they also increase file size from 6 mb to more and if they will change the look from inside like the old one 5.0.0.66 or better then that will be more perfect becouse the newest one too bad with big pictures and even cant resize it and if they will add new smiles will be more better thats it

Can we have BBM to incorporate gtalk yahoo msn and other public chats in BBM itself as a one stop Instant messenger for BB for all messaging solution
