Hi, I am new to this, got a blackberry storm the other day and cant seem to get the blackberry messanger to work, it just says friend pending when trying to add someone, and same when someone adds me on their device.
Also I dont really like that fact that on "maps" the maps arent pre loaded onto the phone and download as you go, is there anyway you could download the maps onto your phone so it doesnt use up data and cost money when using it to find a place.

in regards to bb messenger.. ive had this happen to me too and seen it happen to others.
delete the friend request on your end and have them delete it on their end too and try it again, took me a couple trys at one point.... i have no idea why.
maps... idk... i dont use maps, i get lost alot :p
They say its unlimited internet use subject to fair usage, I think its 500mb a month. I dont want to go over that thoe, the man in the store told me that the blackberry compacts items thoe so if your allowed 500mb its really about 3gb worth of data on the blackberry, is that true?
Its my friend who has the other blackberry and we try to add each other by email and both our blackberrys say pending invitation.
Try to add each other by pin number instead and see if that works. For your pinQuote:

Not positive on your plan questions I will let one of the other guys answer that. I will just say that I have never been charged extra for anything on my BB and I use it A LOT.
