in short. i'm trying to help a friend with a blackberry that has no wifi and only has a messaging plan.

the user can not download direct to the device so i'm trying to figure out a way that i can install the new bbm without having to activate a full data plan on the account.

these messaging plans are a pain to work around but they allow for standard users to use bbm at low cost so i dont see them switching it anytime soon.

The last time I seen a desktop version of the BBM files was way back when BBM 5.0 first leaked. I think it was 5.0.33. Actually I really enjoyed the layout and look of that version and wish they would have kept it looking more like that version. Anyway, I have not seen a desktop file since.

ya thats the last time i remember them too and although rim used to support loading of it through desktop it seems they have made it so it must be coming with your upgraded os now.

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 and do not have Internet on the phone can I get the program from some place where I can install using the desktop Manager. Pearl does not have wifi too so I am unable to download it from anywhere else.

Please help.
