And might coincidentally stop a lot of leaks that are happening.

"Don't run non-approved software on your phones, because we can and will terminate them/it".

It's just interesting. I wouldn't have ever thought they would, but that page suggests otherwise. It talks about unapproved software that didn't come from them, and only talks about that. No where on that page do I take it to talk about BBM in general. It seems to single out 5.0.0.8.

Regardless, that page is probably fake anyway, haha.

Those are nothing more than what was posted here claiming this should have happened already.. I will believe it if it happens but as of now, its speculation.

I absolutely, 100% guarantee you that 5.0.0.8 WILL be shut down on 12/15...

Yeah who cares, 5.0.0.33 is out ...and better than .8 so who the hell cares.

haha i agree, isn't a big deal, but since there was such confusion, i figured i would share what i know...

here in venezuela telefonica sent an email to all the reps telling the same thing about the bbm v5.0.0.08, but its going to be rim doing it

.8 leak will mos def. be shutdown on the 15th. I know everyone says who cares I dont really care either however just thought it would be good to share since it is estimated that 175,000 users are still using .8 leak... Y that many users havent updated to official is beyond me but this is why RIM is shutting it down to free up more server space.
