Funny how this seems like such a basic task to many, but if you've never dealt with it before, it can elude you.
Is this something we can add to the "how-to" section?
There are several "basic" tasks such as this that can be a real problem for our less experienced members, and if the steps were spelled out, it would make the experience much easier for all.
i am running a window 7 operating system, how do i search for the vendor.xml file, at the search field?
To find BlackBerry Vendor.xml files in Windows 7...
( C: )... Program Files(x86)... Common Files... Research In Motion... App Loader...
( C: )... Users... (your user directory)... App Data... Roaming... Research In Motion... BlackBerry... Loader XML...
To search from the field entry just go to C: drive and type vendor.xml in search field. It may take a bit to search if you haven't indexed your C: drive.

wow! just tried this and as soon as deleted the last vendor file,the upgrade poped up on my BB Desktop! thanks for the info,you are great!!!!!!
