If you have the code, just type it while on the help screen, if you exit that screen then you'll need a new code
hm...thopught that's what I did. One more try and than I'll resist further...nothing I really feel a need to reset at the moment but curiosity...well, you know!

Not at all it depends on the way you set the things, some of them stay, depending on what you change.

    Is all about settings lol

Oh man Jl....I wonder if this would have been a route for solving all those BT issues you encountered on various OS's??? For some reason, nothing happens on mine when I put the code in....probably just as well. At 3:00am I'm more than likely to do something untoward and fatal to the device!

Odd I went through EVERYTHING with the intent to brick.. I changed some crazy settings.. not one thing stayed.. I documented everything to incase of reverting back.. Not one thing stuck after restart... my luck?

I was never able to figure out how to save the settings when I used this in the past. I honestly never got much out of this. Except when I was having battery drain issues.

You can check to make sure you aren't drawing too much power...

Once you are viewing your engineering screen go to OS engineering screen>Battery>Battery monitoring screen with the normal apps idling in the background your should be around 50-75mA at 7-11mV of voltage draw.

That was more of a status report though.

Some people just started owning a Blackberry recently and need to be refreshed... not everyone is past NEWB status...

i think everyone knows that it has been around forever. i think it just hasn't picked up too much steam because of the reward/risk ratio.

Where did you get those figures from?
I'm running no apps (default 5 which always run) and I'm getting 146mA Vesr 21mV

I don't....sorry bro...I should have written them down

It was all under GPS options and had to do with tightening the tolerances on the antenna.

Took me 3 or 4 times to get them to stick. They were reverting to OEM settings.

like i understand its in the phones bios under the os but i know with computers you can update a bios so i was wondering if any 5.0 os would also update the bios and in turn the engineering screen

Schuweet, Went in and set my gps to standalone mode and now my gps apps work. Thanks for posting this. No need for ten foot poles here just a bunch of settings and cool info like device ip and whatnot. very cool.

Can these 'secret screens' help in identifying the apps that cause the main leaks in Os5? Also, does the CPU actually overclock? Is there an actual impact on the use or is it just theoretical?
