    Thanks jnepsa.

I tried using a previous device backup as the source of the Service Books, and that did not work.

If I use another carrier's Service Books how will that affect my device? I noticed that there were only 13 Service Book files in my Cincinnati Bell ipd file, while AT&T's file contained 50 or so SB files. Is there a reason for the large discrepancy in the number of SB files?

Some of the different features and apps from different carriers. It wont affect your device at all other than giving you back your browser. The only thing is I dont konw if this will work if your carrier doesnt support 5.0 OS

If I try using the AT&T Service Books and it ends up not working because, as you suspect, my carrier might not support 5.0 OS, what would I need to do to revert back to my carrier's Service Books? Simply go back into DM > Advanced and replace the AT&T Service Books with the original Cinbell ones?

Yes, but the only way you are going to get the full browser back is to downgrade to 4.6

So basically what you're saying is that ...

In order for me to get my Browser fully functioning again I need to downgrade back to 4.6, and that there is no way for me to have a fully functioning Browser until my service provider (Cincinnati Bell) releases a 5.0 OS for the 8900?

This may be true, but I certainly hope not. Cinbell has been notoriously slow in releasing new OS versions (relative to the official releases of other carriers').

That is the truth.. we have seen this with a few carriers that didnt have the correct service books(telus was one I think).

Okay, I was able to fix the browser issue by downgrading back to 4.6, saving my service books, reinstalling 5.0, then reloading my 4.6 service books. Here is the forum thread that led me to this process: Trouble Fixing Browser Issue on 1st Upg to OS 5.

Opera Mini 4.2 still will not work properly, and the 3rd Party Apps I backed up are refusing to load (I get an error message saying "This application (.alx file) is not compatible with your device and cannot be installed.") **UPDATE** I was finally able to reload the backed up 3rd Party Apps (used DM instead of using Loader.exe).

Glad to hear. Some of your apps may need to be redownloaded so that you have the 5.0 compatible version but just run them and see. If you get errors or they freeze your phone up just delete them and download them again from where you got them to make sure you have the right version.
