Was the device off when you inserted it? You should have power off when you remove or insert a card.
Is the card new or old?
Where was it before you inserted it, if it is old?

So your using bbsak? I would try restarting your pc and see if that works. I have had times when it doesn't respond. I restart, and it works fine.
Let us know.

When you have BBSAK up does your pin# display? Are you able to click on the read system button and does BBSAK display the cods on your device? If you answer no then something is wrong with the connection from your PC to your BlackBerry. Maybe a different USB cable?

Welcome to marvelice!!
Have you tried the app loader? To find it, follow the path below...
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
If your running Windows XP or lower, this is the path you want...
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
Once there you will see the app loader, the phone icon called loader. Just click on it and the loader will load. You can use this to reload your os.
