I have found that some releases actually have two vendor XML files. I had to do a search, which included hidden files, before I could locate all vendor files. Give that a try and delete all vendor files located. Also, make sure that ALL previously downloaded OS files have been deleted. I they have not been deleted, you will have nothing but problems.

Even after unstalling other os unable to update as I try it shows that the update is available for blackberry service premium users only.
Pls slove the issue.....
Even the BBSQK is not able to find os.
As it says no os found for your phone...

I did all steps ..
But when im already at the last step..
There is no "restore app" button...??
What now??

Does your device PIN show in BBSAK as connected?

If it does there is a backup/restore tab, in that tab there should be four choices

• Backup Apps
• Wipe Device
• Load OS
• Restore Apps

Make sure your PIN is showing in BBSAK and device is connected and choose Restore Apps.

It takes a few minutes (depending on how many apps are backed up) to restore and the device should reboot itself when it is complete.

im also having the same issue followed all of the steps and right now my 9360 is stuck at 507 had installed the 7.1 and tried to run the loader and getting this message help please

Hello blue02 and welcome to
I would suggest you uninstall the OS installed on your computer and leave the one you want for your smartphone.
And are you sure that the OS installed on your computer matched your device?


For example, the BlackBerry Device Software for the BlackBerry 9360 smartphone is installed on the computer, but the computer is connected to a smartphone from other BlackBerry Curve series.


This situation typically occurs if the BlackBerry smartphone is updated and connected to the computer before the necessary BlackBerry Device Software is installed on the computer.

I am a new member and like your site. I am busy upgrading my software from OS 7.1.342 to the latest version. But I can not find the app loader in the program files section, it only gives me the blackberry DT and blackberry device system. The desktop detects my phone and ask me to upgrade, but only gives me the same version currently on my phone. I dont know what to do any more, please help to get the new software back on my phone please. I am on windows 7 and have a bb9900

Thank you for the compliments, we sincerely appreciate it very much.

Have you installed the latest BlackBerry Desktop Manager for PC version 7.0.0, then plug in your BlackBerry Bold 9900, set it up and follow the prompts from DM.

Once everything has been setup, look for Official OS 7.1.0.523 For BlackBerry Bold 9900 Via AIS Thailand - Findings/Fixes which requires you to download, and install this official OS on your desktop.

Before upgrading any OS, always perform a backup of your BlackBerry device ( I highly recommended it).

Why going like this ? 1st, I install the software " 9700jEastAsia_PBr5.0.0_rel554_PL5.1.0.98_A5.0.0.35 1_Vodafone_Essar_Limited.exe" where I've downloaded at " BlackberryOS Downloads Tab " . After installation, I run uploader at " C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader " suddenly going to this picture. why ?

Hi, I am currently on BB OS 7.1 on my torch 9810. I have downloaded the redingtions latest version for my device. I want to upgrade my device but i am unable to do so. Loader.exe is not recognising the new os which is installed. I have rebooted my laptop. Also i have deleted the vendor.xml file. Even the BB Desktop manager is not recognising the new OS installed. Please help me with the same since the current OS on my device hangs too much and i need to upgrade on a urgent basis. Thanks alot. This website rocks

Hello yjthegr8, and thank you for the compliments.

Try to reboot your PC, and re-attempt.

Sounds like BbDevMgr.exe is the cause of you issue, go to the bottom right screen, right click, then click Start Task Manager.

Look for BbDevMgr.exe, right click, kill process, now you can load the latest OS7.1.0.536 for your BlackBerry Torch 9810.

Please search for " Vendor " in your computer. You'll probably find another one.
You can check there : My computer > Local Disk C > Users > Your username > Appdata > Roaming > Research in Motion > BlackBerry > Loader XML. You will probably find another vendor file there.
