Ok. on your PC go to start>control panel>add remove programs. You should see two blue blackberry icons one for desktop software and one for the new operating system. If you have more than 2 delete the old operating system program. If you only have the two symbols then go to start and type vendor in the search bar and if something shows up right click it and delete it. Then empty recycle bin and restart pc.

My next suggestion would be to delete the os in add/remove programs then restart procedure from there. in the meantime i will see if i can find out what that error is.
I've done it twice already...but ill do it again!
Thank you for helping me out here! I really appreciate it!
What do you do right before this error pops up?
There are a few reasons, knowing your steps helps narrow it down.
loader didnt find any OS's...and there is that ADD function...so i picked new OS via that ADD thing...and then that massage popes up.
Ok. I know you've probably gone through the steps again, but try this.
Remove all OS's, Desktop Managers, anything RIM related. Another place to check for leftover RIM files, C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\ <-- List every folder you have in this directory in a new post.
We'll go from there.
