If you have everything but a vendor file, it should be fine....you delete it anyway.

guyz I have downloaded os 7.1.0.190 but while uploading to phone my updater cant find it after installing also...please help me how to solve this problem..usually i am using application uploader but this time it is not supporting or finding the installed software....

I followed each and every step as outlined in the procedure.... but after the BB apploader initiates the second screen says Identify Communication port and doesn't let me do anything... i want this so badly on my 9810 but can't get it to work ... ... some one please help me

Sure I can help you Tloc, can you tell me what issue you're experiencing, and what OS build you're attempting to install.
Have you deleted the vendor.xml file?

I am using windows 7 .... my bb torch 9810 has the 7 on it and i am trying to load version 7.1.0.205 on the torch ... please let me know another details that you need

yes i did erase the vendor.xml file ........ followed the instructions to the t ..... still i get on the screen which comes after i initialize the app loader and asks for the communication port ....

Just install, update via Desktop Manager, it's so much easier.

So i just download the software on the computer ... install it on the computer and then upload it through BB desktop manager thats what you are telling me to do ....

yes, once you have installed Desktop Manager, plug in your device, please back up all data when prompted, and update OS.

Thank you so much Mr Grimreaper .... i was finally able to do it ... after a lot of head banging with how to go about it ..... your directions were fine only my way of doing the things was not ... but finally i figured it out and i have the latest on my 9810 .... it is working on 7.1 ......yayy ... this is so awesome .... you guys are awesome here ... love this place ..... anyone who needs anything i can help with more than happy to do so ... like Mr Reaper helped me here .....

hey guys. this is gonna by my first attempt at upgrading software. i've got a curve 9360 and plan to upgrade to 7.0.0.474 for now. seems stable enough from what i read around the net for this phone. but anyways.

i'm just going through the process and discovered... i have no apploader folder even (not hidden either) so i'm confused. does this appear after i install this new OS that i want to put into my phone?

Also on the remove programs. i dont have blackberry device software XX.XX.XX or whatever, only have
'blackberry device software updater' do i delete that? i have done a backup previosly using BBDM so... a little confused. hope to get some clarification from the masters.

Also, when you are prompted to save any apps, third-party apps, make sure it is saved in the same directory, or folder (it could be on your desktop or in BBSAK's Program files).

Congratulations on the purchase of your BlackBerry Curve 9360.

If I may suggest another OS upgrade rather than the OS7.0.0.474, which is not as stable as you think it may be.

Download: Leaked: OS 7.1.0.190 For BlackBerry Curve 9360

I have personally installed this leaked OS 2 days ago for a friend of mine, and so far, it's been an excellent build for the Curve 9360.

As for your issue of a missing application folder (which is located at Computer > Local Disk(C > Program Files> Common Files > Research In Motion> AppLoader (and if you see a vendor.xml file, please delete it).

In addition, in case your not aware of requiring to download the BlackBerry Desktop Software, which you will need to backup, restore, delete, update, etc....

hey man. thanks. i've just installed the update. hopefully all goes well. thanks. only problem is ill be heading over to china and in this pack there is no language support for chinese characters. haiiz.... oh well.
