ok, I've followed these steps like 5 times. I'm in the Philippines using a phone that was originally from TMobile in the USA. I'm on the Globe network here in the Philippines. After I wipe my phone and load the OS from Globe using BBSAK, right off the bat there are still tmobile settings for APN. When I check my IP with What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address, i'm being routed through a proxy and to the US! When I turn my phone off and turn it back on...it still flashes TMobile! What am I missing here??

Hi there I have a problem that keeps coming up anytime I install OS 6 whether leak or official on my Blackberry Bold 9700. After installing the OS 6, the phone boots up beautifully and I enter my password then the RIMs INFO black sheet comes up and I cannot scroll down, is like the track pad freezes. Is there anything I can do to resolve or get past this matter so I could enjoy my new OS 6?. Thanking you in advance

Sometimes when upgrading a device from the OS of a leaked or official version that is released from a different vendor other than your cell provider there can be issues. Just make sure you follow the tutorial every step.

I m kinda new to BB, so need some help from your side. I have a BB BOLD 9700 from T-Mobile UK but I have unlocked it in India and using it with Airtel.
I want to upgrade my OS to 6. Since only Vodafone has come up with an official OS 6 for 9700 i want to know how can I upgrade.
I have few issues in mind :-
- If the OS 6 malfunctions can i return to my official OS 5 ?
- What is the Memory Leak thing thats causing problem ?
- What is the white screen of death in BB upgrade to OS 6 ?

Please help me out as I really want to move to OS 6.

- Yes, you can return to OS 5, but you will need to wipe your phone clean and reinstall fresh.
- The memory leak issue is when Software on your device eats up memory without letting it go.
- The white screen of death happens when one doesn't finish the upgrade process properly. Usually due to not paying attention to detail when upgrading.

hi, i kinda new on bb. i use a storm 9530. my bb is somewhat dead. it started hangin and i tried to restart but it has not come on. will installing a new OS help? it keeps going from black to white - the booting process - and back again. Help!!!! what do I do?

Try pulling the battery for 60 sec. Invite again and see if it saves.

I did it. I installed OS 6 over my BB9700 and it work really good.

Everything is fine but i cannot change my theme??? How can i change my theme in OS6 with 9700, plz advise??

the best os for the bb 9700 is 5.0.0.1014 !!!!!!!!! even better from OS 6 :D

Yes, but you must delete the vendor xml. file before installing. The upgrade guide shows you how to do that in one of the steps.

one more thing if my current carrier supports 3G , wcdma hsdpa etc... and ive install an OS that doesn't support this am i going to encounter some problems or errors regarding to this matter..

i've succesfully upgraded my os, the problem was when i make a call this errors pops out "no service currently available" and i cant send any SMS.. my solution to this problem was to insert another sim card, i prefer different service provider simcard coz i used different sim card from a different carrier and it's working perfectly,, i left it for about half an hour then return back my old sim, then after i returned my old sim i can now make a call and send sms .. im not sure how this method fix my problem but sure it help me.. thanks again... more power
