Cannot back-up 3rd party apps

You are saying that you cannot generate another .alx file folder correct.

Correct - it will not generate a new pin # folder, with the CODs, and the .alx inside.

First of all I assume you are on a PC and not a Mac.
If you look at My Computer located on your desktop while your device is connected via sync cable, do you see the two Blackberry Drive maps?

Yes, on a PC, yes I get the 2 drive maps. I was having no problems like this before today. I have done this successfully in the past.

wonder if this could be the 2nd theme that Lyric packed into the hybrid? Will delete that and try again.

Check to see that you have Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected set to YES
Also see that Mass Storage Mode Support is set to ON

Yes..This is right. The DM will turn your radio off while trying to create an .alx

I have just finished reading back through this thread and found that another member deleted these apps from his device and was able to create the 3rd party backup file.

The only one I see in common would be QuickPull

Are there any of these apps that seems to giving you an issue?

Quickpull has been working OK, and I've had successful 3rd party backups with it in the past. I can try deleting it, backing up, and then reinstalling it later?

Wow. That was the same problem for me. Seems to be a QP bug!
I thought it was a bad install of QP for the other user, and didn't try it myself.

well i finally had time/patiance to sit down and spend a night with my beloved storm. i followed instructions above and we finally have repaired the issue.
