If I were in your position, I would start by deleting applications that are of least importance to me, and any problematic apps. So yes, you could start off by removing quick pull.

here is where i am at now. i deleted quick pull and zona capture,and gpsed.
i have created a 3rd party app backup. (i am jumping up and down for joy).
i had to delete these apps using the phone. when i launch app loader in dm it goes through the checks then comes up that dm has encountered a problem and needs to close. (grrrr). Any thoughts ?

Try rebooting your computer. I'd also do a battery pull on your device to just make sure.

ok i restarted computer and handheld. the apploader in dm still shuts down after doing checks. Bigger NEW issue after reboot of phone the radio is shut off for some reason. i also do not know how to turn it back on. i tried another boot no help. tried to send service books but told me radio was off like i already did not figure that out.

any thoughts ? better not play lottery luck has run out for me...lol

Shuts down? In what way? Does it stop responding? Does it close? And which checks are you referring to? Do you mean the box that pops up saying "Task In Progress" and a whole bunch of tasks? If so, which one does it get hung up on?

i open dm > hit add remove applications > shaded dm box comes up and it checks device applications > then a window pops up that says dm has encountered a problem and needs to close > then windows cks for solutions and dm shuts down.

Do this for me please. Go through that process again, and watch closely as to what task is being performed. If you could tell me exactly what part of that process it is getting the error, it would help a lot.

the last thing that comes up before dm shutdown error is searching for device software. hope this helps.

It does. Do you have any OS software for your BlackBerry installed on your computer? Also, which version of DM are you using?

And here is one thing to try, it probably won't work, but doesn't hurt to try. Disconnect your computer from the internet, and try running DM again and see if you get the same error.

the only os on computer is .151. it is in limbo hoping i can make base phone work right then upgrade to where i was before the phone replacement.

i tried dm offline and no change.

Okay. My next thing to try would be to uninstall the OS from your computer. You can always install it back. This will eliminate that being any part of the problem.

sorry it took so long.

this is what i did.
control panel>add remove>uninstalled .151.
then
program files>common files>rim>app loader>deleted contents
then emptied recycle bin restarted computer
then tried app loader in dm and have a fatal error message in dm box
then tried the previously repaired 3rd party app back up and got fatal error there too.
wow this is frustrating. i do appreciate all your help and frustration is NOT with you.

So I was looking back over the threads and it looks like you have 4.7.0.148 on your device yet you have stated that 4.7.0.151 was on your PC...Is this correct?

yes that is correct. i downloaded it to put on my phone when all this was done. i had it on old phone and loved it. it has not been installed to phone yet.

this is true. still on stock os but am ready to update. did not figure i should untill i was able to back up 3rd party apps. (aka this thread..lol)

sunkast asked me to delete os off computer and i just did. that was the uninstall .151

after i did that i now get the original fatal error i started with plus the same fatal error on app loader in dm.

i did try and reinstall the file you gave me and it did not help this time.
