Please help~

I cannot fix this.. I did the download..no icon shows up. I tried following all of your directions to no avail.. please someone help me.. i havew a curve 83xx series.. please I am going to scream!!!!

okay im kinda a beginner at this and im not sure if im doing it wrong or something but when i click open BlackBerryMessenger.alx from DM it gives me an error message "No additional applications designed for your device were found." Please help

I just went through that nightmare myself but it turned out to be the version of OS I was running. If you're running version 4.5.0.77, try upgrading to .160 first, then follow the procedure again.

It worked fine for me once I upgraded my OS first.

I tried the download and followed the instructions. Nada on my Bold. Then I updated to BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0 (from the RIM site) and followed the directions you provided.

BINGO!! Installed and works like a charm.

So glad that my first post was a Positive Feedback Post.

Thank you for posting the software and such a great tutorial on the installation.

Glad updating DM worked for you. Seems to be a number of little gotchas in order to install BBM successfully. Welcome to BlackberryOS.

Hi -
newbie here. I have a Pearl 8130 running on the Sprint network's approved variant of 4.5.
I have tried everything I can to get this to work, but I keep getting the same "This application is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded" message.
I don't have a Java folder in the common files section. I do have one buried in the AppData/Roaming/RIM/Blackberry/Loader Cache/ (huge string of gobldygook) folder. I moved all the files there per instructions on the thread, but that didn't work.
Am I just SOL b/c I have a Pearl and my contract isn't up yet?

I was able to load this on my Storm with out a hitch but Im trying to load this on my wifes BB Tour and am using the correct version but getting the no app can be found message.

Also Im running bbIM5 on my storm are my BBIM contact who are not running V5 able to chat with me and vice versa?

You could try the OTA version.

And yes you will be able to talk to your contacts no problem.

The file you linked is for 9500 series but my wifes bb is a Tour this will work on hers?

Help please:) Somewhat still new to Blackberry and have tried both the OTA update with a failed message and the detailed instructions to DM. My old verison is now erased and I am not able to restore it. Can someone please send me "no brainer" instructions on how to solve this? Thank you so much in advance!

no problem jen we can help. which device and what OS do you have installed?

I'm just stepping in here but I dont think the ota's are working. Sunkast might know for sure :D

My bad. So hard to keep up with model numbers these days. Here is the OTA link if you still need it.
