Welcome to BlackberryOS. You are installing for your 8900 correct? Do you have the OS for your device installed on your computer?

If you are on the Verizon network, I highly advise that you do not upgrade to 220.127.116.11 due to instability. You will get the dreaded loud chirp during calls and other issues. I upgraded to 18.104.22.168 from Sprint (also CDMA) and got the BBM 5 to load and operate fine using the loader.exe method.

i have been trying and it still wont work for my curve 8900 it says its not compatible and wen i try to download it from my bb browser it says COD file is invalid so i dont know what to do i neeed help!

Many users have reported success by trying multiple times. Seems the Bold and 8900 can be very finicky. What OTA link are you trying?
