Hello fellow forum members, first post here, please be kind.
I have read the first 7 pages of this thread and have what I hope to be the right procedure for upgrading my os and then installing bbm5. I just saw one thread, sorry did not write down it's number, where one individual was strongly saying not to put 4.5.0.160 on a verizon 8330, something about crackling sounds and instability.
So, do any of you with a verizon 8330, or know directly of someone who does, know if it is ok to use 4.5.0.160 on this device? Currently I have the latest verizon version, 4.5.0.138. From what I have read in the thread, .138 should be sufficient for bbm5. But, if I am going to make changes, why not also get the .160 that is referred to in so many places in this thread.

Hi and welcome.. My wife has a curve on VZW and I put .160 on there but when she would answer the phone there was a very very loud screech in the phone for both ppl on the line.. and it was not very stable.. she had a lot of freeze ups, and reboots. There is a WONDERFUL hybrid out there. I can help you with it but want to try and see what your comfort level is with loading OS's and your phone.. Let me know if you would like to try it.Quote:

Have you gone to the BlackBerry mobile site to redownload them?
Yes I downloaded them again but it shows that its already there in my mobile. All of them are in mobile but I can't see them anywhere... including facebook, bbm, msn, google talk.
Try uninstalling them first. Then reinstall. This has happened to some other users and this is one method found to work. You can uninstall by going to Options > Advanced > Application. Highlight the app, press the menu key and delete. It may ask you to reboot to finish uninstalling.Quote:
