You only need to back up the device if you have stuff to back up.
What I mean is, if its new and you have nothing in it then there is no need to back it up.

Just do the wipe and load what you would like.

Thanks tons. It's good to read that members are curing their issues by something BBOS has researched and come up with.

I've been using BBSAK for awhile now it's a definate must have software for any BlackBerry owner.
Wiping your device is too easy not to (look for code 507) then you know it's been wiped properly.
Then you can proceed with loading your OS with a few clicks and you're good to go
I also love the screenshot feature too

This message shows up when you first try BBSAK?

    yugi,

You could try to stop all bbdm (desktop manager) processes. Open up windows task manager and stop all processes blackberry related like bbdevmgr. I think thats the name you will habe to look through the processes.

You have to download the OS you want to load and install it on your PC.
You can find the OS you want to load in our Downloads Center

    Help!

BBSAK isn't wiping my phone! It says it is, but I've still got the JVM Error 545....
I've wiped it, I've factory reset it, and BBSAK says it's complete, but when my phone reboots, I still get the white screen with the error message.
What can I do? Or is it just time to cry?

It is because it is crap software..... Only seems to work on really old phones, etc. I've had to throw my BB away and replace with a new one!

BBSAK is not required for OS 7 devices. You can just wipe your phone right from the settings.

It is designed for OS 6 and prior devices.

Click the button in the bottom right of a post to say thanks!
