You only need to back up the device if you have stuff to back up.
What I mean is, if its new and you have nothing in it then there is no need to back it up.
Just do the wipe and load what you would like. :)

I've been using BBSAK for awhile now it's a definate must have software for any BlackBerry owner.
Wiping your device is too easy not to (look for code 507) then you know it's been wiped properly.
Then you can proceed with loading your OS with a few clicks and you're good to go:)
I also love the screenshot feature too:)
And we are glad you like it!
during the first step it shows "no device detected, click ok to continue" (even if i put in my phone's password). subsequently, no option is available for me to click 'wipe'. plz help
i dont really understand. if "error reload software 507" appear and i don't have new OS what do i have to do ? the worse is, i forgot to backup my data :>
You have to download the OS you want to load and install it on your PC.
You can find the OS you want to load in our Downloads Center

When I run BBSAK it says on my PIN Disconnected? is there anyways that I could reset my phone and load a new OS to completely wipe it. I am using BB 8310.. Many Thanks for the help!
No Go! BBSAK not seeing my phone....No matter what I try!
Attachment 4056
BBSAK isn't wiping my phone! It says it is, but I've still got the JVM Error 545....
I've wiped it, I've factory reset it, and BBSAK says it's complete, but when my phone reboots, I still get the white screen with the error message.
What can I do? Or is it just time to cry?
BBSAK is not required for OS 7 devices. You can just wipe your phone right from the settings.
It is designed for OS 6 and prior devices.
