Every time I send a ringtone to one of my friends they never receive it. They say it keeps trying to send it as a picture. I'm using a BlackBerry Storm. Any ideas on why the sounds won't send through? :omfg:

I assume you are trying to send short ringtones and not long ones correct? What kind of phone do they have? Are they on the same network?
I just sent one to my wife's dumb phone and it worked fine, it says pic/video message but it is the ringtone and it plays fine.
It almost seems like something is wrong with my phone. It is attached and I can play the sound from the MMS before sending, but when I check the sent message afterward it is blank.
hmmm, i had a chocolate at one point and remember saving ringtones and such off mms.... i dont remember it showing as attached though, the music just started playing. dumb question but is their volume up?

Yeah they should be able to receive it as most phones on vzw support mms. What format is it in? Are you attaching it from ringtones or from messages? :)Quote:

That's weird. Try updating PRL (*22899 send). If you keep having the issue, I would recommend a wipe/reinstall (first security wipe, then BBSAK or JL). If still an issue, I would suspect hardware. Hope this helps. :)Quote:

I doubt it but possible. You can test by putting all javas from removed folder back into pa java and run app loader. :)Quote:

Justin, try a wipe and reload. That would be my suggestion at this point. May be try doing a security wipe, jl or bbsak, load .75, then straight to .148 then the OS that you want but without wiping. It should flash your phone to factory. I would give it a try. :)Quote:
