Hello Donkane,
You can use BBH-Tool, which will backup & restore all apps from your BlackBerry device, including 3rd party applications, and much more.
Check out BBH-Tool updated to v2.4.9.5 - many goodies & fixes
Thank you.
Thanks grimreaper. The thing is, I backed up my 3rd party applications when I wanted to upgrade the OS. Now the upgrade is done, BBSAK cant detect my device to restore the apps! I downloaded BBSAK v1.9 which has the "restore apps" option but BBSAK simply wont detect my device! The 3rd party apps back up file exists, I just want to restore to my phone. Thanks!
I hear this issue from many users, which reminds me, I may need to write up a How To on this issue.
The reason BBSAK, or BBH Tool will not detect your BlackBerry device, is BlackBerry Dev Manager, which is located in Windows Task Manager>Processes> needs to be stopped from running.
Look for BlackBerry Dev Manager in the Process Description, kill the process by right click, and scroll to End Process.
What this does is effectively make room for your BlackBerry device to use another program, such as BBSAK, or BBH Tool with no re-connection issues.
Try again to re-connect, and you will see just how easy it will be now.
Thank you.
Thanks Grimreaper. You're the best. Although I didn't find any process with the description "Blackberry Dev Manager", I ended all RIM related processes and my system was able to detect my device. However, when I restored (from the backup folder in the BBSAK folder under C:), it gave the prompt about rebooting and I accepted and the process was done in less than 3 seconds. When I checked the device, I noticed that those apps such as Docs To Go, Ubersocial etc are still not there!!!:( Please what do I do? I feel I'm not restoring properly. And I made a copy of that backup folder on my desktop... I hope that's not a problem.
Thanks a lot!
Done! Got tips from similar threads. Ran Loader.exe and added the .axl file in the backup folder. Only problem is, it couldn't restore my Word To Go cos it said the digital signature was invalid and I really need that app cos I use it for work. What can I do about this?
Anyway, thanks a million. This forum is the best EVER!!!
Documents To Go successfully installed. Downloaded the .cod files and replaced the ones in my update folder in BBSAK with them. Then I ran Apploader.exe again and now I'm "pimped and ready to roll". Thanks!
