Default How to fix the screen click on the Blackberry Storm

Credit to Jascias for this fix

This has fixed many members screen click problem.

    1. You will need a micro TORX (T6) screw driver and small needle.
    2. Open the back cover and you will see a red sticker, (The red sticker is a water detection sticker), and across from it you will see a torx screw. Under the red sticker is another screw. These 2 screws may be screwed on too tight.

    3. Using the small needle, you can take off the sticker for replacement later.

Unscrew both screws in I would try turning in 1/8 turn increments.

    4. Replace sticker, screen is fixed.

Take your time, and sometimes it may not be needed to adjust both screws.

Put your back cover on in between turns to test.

Hope this helps for those who wish to try it.

BlackberryOS and anyone associated do not take responsibility for any damage done by trying this procedure.
Please do so at your own risk.

    Thanks.

Any danger in doing this while connected to the USB as in the pics? I have done this on two of my previous storms and it works great.

I'm sure it would be safer to be unhooked and with the battery unplugged. I only took the pictures with it plugged in.

I did the fix a long time ago with it disconnected from all.

What a great find. I used tweezers on mine clicks 80% better. I used to put paper under battery and that worked to. Than for the 411

Great post, I'll have to do this on both mine and the wife's phone. Hers is worse. I agree about the pictures, BM. It makes a WORLD of difference for explaining how to do stuff.

You know what I noticed is that newer storms have super nice click and don't really need any fix. So for people who have a bad click that this fix doesn't help, I would suggest getting a newer replacement. Day and night difference!

I agree completely, especially if it won't cost you anything

Good point Olta. I just recently got my 5th replacement and this one seems to be winner winner chicken dinner. It's super clicky and have not needed to use any tricks in order to get it to work right.
