A way to tell would be to see where you are running at now with everything idled. Delete as instructed then reboot your device and compare. I feel good about telling you 6-7 Mb's

Well that's what surprised me and why I asked. I was at 42mb before i deleted the samples and now I'm at 41.7mb. I didn't get any gain? Did the reboot with battery pull twice and all that.Don't know what happened. Any ideas????:eek13:

Look back in BBFileScout and confirm that the files you deleted are gone.

I did and all that's there is the ringtones folder. Cleared the browser cache, did a memory clean etc. Weird. :arg:

I noticed that you were on Bell...Did that carrier lock all those wallpapers onto your device like VZW did? That question may not even be relevant. For all I know, RIM could have locked those Wallpapers. So, did you have those preloaded wallpapers on your device? Another question if you don't mind. What is your current theme that your are running. Why I ask is because if I use my default theme that came loaded on the device, my memory will skyrocket and stabilize around 49 Mb (I don't store many apps). However, if I use my Storm Today Hidden Plus theme, my memory will sink to around 26 Mb then while I use my device say like texting or browsing the internet, my memory will jump to around 39Mb. Just found that my theme really likes to hog up unused device memory.

Nope. Their gone as is the sample music and video. That's why I find it odd that the memory didn't go up. Very strange.

So what we have really gained is device memory and not Application Memory....Haha

Thank you Mepascal..I downloaded BBfilescout a few days ago just because I thought I should have it. It has just sat here since. Thanks for letting me know what to do with it, otherwise I could have REALLY messed things up in a "bored moment". (something I am known for doing)

Just downloaded and erased un needed files. Did a battery pull, first time my memory was 50+ that I can remember. Thanks again Mepascal.

That's awesome Seanren....Personally I can get that high IF I stick with the default theme....But I like my themes too much to stick with the ordinary default. My hidden theme really likes my memory......
