It seems I got extremely bored last night and figured I would wipe my phone and reload the OS to clean it up. Went to use BBSAK and decided to check out the tabs first. The misc tab has an option for factory reset and for ****s and giggles, I tried it.
Not only did it clean the phone up but it also added 10 mb of memory to my phone by erasing all the crap in it. Now I know in the grand scheme of life, 10 mb doesn't seem like alot, but for storm 1 users, it's monumental.
As an added bonus, added themes and all 3rd party apps remained intact. All I had to do was re-enter the activation codes that were required. It defaults back to the Zen theme, but anything you have added is still there, just activate the theme of choice.
While it is doing the factory reset, it reboots the bb a few times and seems like it takes forever. You have not pooched your BB, so sit back and be patient.
Each phone will be different in memory gained, depending on how often you have reloaded OS's, or added and removed apps. If you do try it, post to this thread and let us know how much memory you gained.
