    Cool Using BB Messenger

Believe it or not I have been a BB user for 6 years and NEVER used the BB messenger. Is there a tutorial that's available on how to use messenger?? I just purchased the new Torch, and I would love to learn how to utilize this tool. Can someone please advise? Thanks. :aargh4:

There are two methods of adding contacts in BlackBerry Messenger. One is with PIN and the other is email.
A PIN is an eight digit alpha-numeric code that is assigned to every BlackBerry device. You can find your own PIN code by going to Options>Status>PIN on your BlackBerry device. If you invite someone using email, you just need an email address associated with their device.
Go into BBM and press the BB key on your device and you will get something like the following, depending on what version you use. It will most likely say invite a contact...

Referring to the screen above, choose the appropriate choice (Pin, email, barcode, or their text number) and enter their information.
Once you do that, it sends the individual an invite. If they accept, then they will now be on your contact list.

Click on one of your contacts names and you will get the following box:

Start typing, and your good to go.

You can experiment with the rest. I will be making a tutorial that is more in depth, so stay tuned.

If you have further questions, go ahead and post in here so we can help you out.

Neo, you have some cool looking friends on BBM.....
Have you ever wondered why things intended to make our lives simpler keep getting more complicated to use?

Yeah, they are funky looking...they smell too.
