How To Erase A Blackberry Using the Java Loader Commander (JL_Cmder)

• BACKUP Device using the Desktop Manager

• BACKUP Devices Third-party Applications

• Download JL_Cmder v1.9.0 installer

• Once downloaded, unzip and double click on the Install icon

• It will automatically install to your DESKTOP without asking any further questions

• To open program you must find the icon on your desktop labeled JL_Cmder and double click it

• When it opens, you will see the following screen. Press any key to continue:

• The next screen is this one. Press Y if your Blackberry uses a password, otherwise press N

• Press the number 4 to wipe the device

• You will get this warning next, if you want to continue, press Y

************************************************** *************************************

• One last warning will ask you to type the word blackberry if you want to continue. This is the final warning, if you continue the device will be completely erased!

• When it is finished the device will do a full restart which may take several minutes.

• It should boot up to a blank white screen that shows an error 507, This is normal.

• Your device is now void of any software and is ready to be loaded with a new one.

will this cause my unlocked phone 2 lock?????

No this is to wipe the phone of any OS. It will still be unlocked

just finished doing the wipe , whatr steps do i take now????? i really wanna download the new hybrid

follow the instructions in bbcrackman's thread for the hybrid (click here) in his first post.

download the file, then unzip it, then follow his instructions in the read me file he included.

it took me about 20 min. and i had never done a hybrid before.

Well just installed this hybrid, thanks bbcrackman, so far it seems good. all things are working and seems about as fast as .109. i installed after full wipe, then reloaded 3rd party apps with loader.exe and installed my contactts and other backups with DM using the loader.exe automatic backup file. i couldnt find a better way to restore my contacts and such. although i will post with findings on the finding thread after 24 hrs.

Thanks alot! Much appreciation!!! Now, one more question. Once the BB is totally wiped, you just use apploader to reinstall the OS, right?

you are right If you are running the v3, then just follow the same instructions you did to put it on before. Don't forget to backup everything, third-party apps included.
