try using bbsak to run the loader
Farts are funny.
Farts as a ringtone are even funnier.
Trying to pick up a chic as your phone is ringing.....Priceless

Noelfales, I would recommend trying a different usb or a different pc may be just for the load?Originally Posted by noelfales

Well I took my unit to verizon and persuaded them to give me a new one (with Verizon's 148 installed and working)
Came back and ran DM ver 4.7, and lo and behold it connected showing the new pin. - I was able to restore the backup I made when initially trying to load 230 at the beginning of all this - thus got back contacts and other stuff I really needed BUT I still can't run the ap loader by executing the file directly (double click and nothing happens) or by using BBSAK 'load application' or by going through DM (get a message there saying 'a fatal error occurred when trying to upgrade')
So now I can see that its something other than a connection failure because both BBSAK and DM seem to connect - I just can't run the ap loader . And because of that, I can't restore my third party aps. BBSAK created one alx file for all my third party backup. Is there a way to manually move that file into the operating system??
ANY THOUGHTS???

I have read through the posts and have tried everything an my BBD still will not connect, and is not recognized by my computer or DM. I had recently upgraded to a 5.0 version but not sure as it was direct from BB thru DM, as well as upgrading to DM 5.0; after the upgrade I had issues with the horizontal screen and loading my service books as it's an unlocked 9530 used on ATT Net. I started having connection issues would connect when it wanted to; I also had these issues when I was running v.148 an the V7 hybrid. I decided to just downgrade and go back to what I knew worked and felt comfortable with; so after finally getting BBSAK but not DM to connect I did a wipe. I am now unable to connect to ither BBSAK, DM or even in the Uploaded, my BBD is also not recognized on my laptop. I have tried %appdata% and removed the intelsync, vendor files are removed, ensured my hubs are working, have performed batt pulls and so on. Also if I open DM 5.0 it "freezes" and states initializing BB DM then comp shows it is still responding; but if I run as Admin DM will open in a few seconds.
At the moment my BBD is at the 507 screen, I am running DM 5.0, laptop is running Win7 64 bit. I am at a total loss here.

This is the best advice I can give you. This will also speed up your issue with trying to reconnect to your BlackBerry.
Find a PC or a laptop that is running Windows XP. Plain and simple. I assure you that this will eliminate most of your connectivity issues.
If you are unable to utilize a PC/laptop with XP then I may have one more trick up my sleeve but I don't know that it will work with Win7.
