I've not long had my bb curve 8900 but it fails to download the simplest of files e.g 1mb music files, I later found out it had something to do with my out of date OS version 4.6 currently installed, I wanted to know.. How I could download a newer version and how?, many many thanks in advance look forward to hearing from anyone..... Thanks again, blackberry8900joshua

You have two options here. As your device does not support an OS 6.0 upgrade.
1. Download a third party browser like Opera Mini. This browser has no download restrictions, you can find that here:
Opera Mini & Opera Mobile browsers
2.Upgrade your OS version to 5.0 and change the WAP port. (THIS IS ADVANCED. PLEASE USE AT YOUR OWN RISK)
Download the latest OS 5.0 version for your device here:

I suggest you just go with opera mini its the easiest solution.
