Thread: problem with messages

Hi
I have a problem with my SMS's. let me explain. If i get a message from 94233##### i get the entire list of messages along with the latest message even if all the old messages are deleted it will still show. How do i permanently delete the messages. I have a BSNL connection.

Try and mess with your Messaging Options, perhaps there is a setting that can be adjusted. There may be a setting that is merging your text messages with your main messaging folder and although you are deleting them from your Text Message app they are being retained.

okay, details of wat happens wit my phone, if i receive a message from say tom, the next message i try to send, say to stacey is goin to appear under the same thread for tom, as if i sent the message to Tom and not stacey, my only solution currently is to delete all texts and create a msg to stacey without any other msg threads..i hope u can get wat um saying, this happened yday after upgrading to os 5 from 4.6.

I would still check your messaging options. But I know that changing OS versions can bring about bugs. Have you tried a couple battery pulls in succession? Make sure that when you do a battery pull that you take the battery out while the phone is still on and unplugged.

Also, if none of that works you may want to backup, wipe, and reinstall your OS.

wassup Joe, um happy to say i installed the latest release of Os 5 last evening, and everything is back to normal!! once again, lemme thank U for the prompt responses and this super great website!!
