    Default Menu keys stay lit.

Hi all, I have a friend who has a 8900 Curve.

Once the phone goes into standby the four menu keys and ring around the trackball stay lit, forever. This also happens within the holster.

My friend deems this as a pain and recently paid to have it "Fixed" by a repair workshop. - obviously this didnt work.
It had 4.6 on it but I have just upgraded (today) to 5.0.0.592 This hasnt fixed it either.

    • Is this normal is my first question?
    • Second, can it be resolved if its not normal?

Thanks for any and all advice on this.

IMO if it stays lit while holstered then its probablu a hardware issue. I wouldn't consider that normal. I hope your friend kept his receipt to get his money back since the shop obviously didn't do their job correctly. I will ask the team if they have any suggestions. Keep an eye out on this thread.

Lol I don't know y I assumed it was a guy. Anyway, I decided woth the name change once I became permanant on the team. Going by "Hodges" (my lastname) seemed a lil more professional then kbizzles lol. That name was a old highschool name that was followed me for years it was time for a change.

Thank You I like it better as well as everyone else on the team haha..

no is not normal and most probably is hardware problem but since she already took it to a repair shop if it still had warranty is voided so i would take it back to the repair shop and ask them to either fix it or get them money bacik

If the warranty stickers are removed which I assume they are, then the warranty will def be voided. Maybe you can get your hands on some stickers to cover up the screw.
